BERNINA DEALER TO HOST A SEW DAY TO BENEFIT NONPROFIT EMPOWER WOMEN IN AFRICA ON FEBRUARY 16

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that The Presser Foot, a BERNINA Dealer with stores in Fort Collins and Longmont, Colo., is hosting a Sew Day for African Girls and Women on Saturday, February 16. The event will take place from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Longmont store, 2001 N. Main St. The Presser Foot invites volunteers to help sew reusable feminine hygiene items that will be donated to Empower Women in Africa, Inc. to help girls in schools and communities in Namibia, Africa. The Presser Foot is providing 15 – 20 BERNINA sewing machines and sergers, spa water and light refreshments, and is donating flannel material to create the items. Additional flannel fabric donations are welcome.

Empower Women in Africa, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that brings economic and educational opportunities to women in rural Africa.
