BERNINA DEALER QUILT QUARTERS TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7 AND SATURDAY NOVEMBER 8 IN CARMEL INDIANA

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Quilt Quarters, a BERNINA Dealer in Carmel, Indiana, is hosting Sewapalooza, hands-on sewing, embroidery, and quilting workshops on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 9840 North Michigan Road in Carmel. BERNINA Educator Nancy Bednar will lead event-goers through three unique projects including a quilted mini travel pillow, an embellished shoe sack using BERNINA’s DesignWorks software and a cord caddy. Each workshop costs $49 and includes lunch, a CD with project instructions, software and accessories, and an opportunity to experience BERNINA machines. BERNINA Educator, Nancy Bednar teaches embroidery, overlocker/serger and machine quilting tips and techniques. Nancy is from Brookfield, Ill., and is a sewing educator, freelance instructor and author, who uncovered her passion for sewing when she explored creative and practical aspects of sewing in elementary school. From garment, home decoration projects to bridal and special occasion sewing, Nancy’s true love is the overlocker/serger. Nancy has trained BERNINA Dealers and consumers about all aspects of sewing with a special emphasis on garment stitching and creative machine techniques. She is a regular contributor to Sewing and Serger Update Newsletters and has been published in Sew News and Through the Needle.
