Steckborn, December 2006 – BERNINA, a leader in technology for innovative sewing and embroidery systems, has developed a new, extremely easy-to-use embroidery software solution with new-and-improved functions. The Embroidery Software V5 offers the highest quality, inter alia when digitising, editing and embroidering designs. Available in three versions, in the DesignerPlus version it includes among other things a quilting and cross-stitch program and appliqué and monogram functions, as well as enabling the creation of embroidery designs from photo artwork.
The new BERNINA Embroidery Software V5 makes embroidery absolute child’s play, and vastly expands your options for embroidering creatively – whether you the customer opt for the EditorPlus version, or the DesignerPlus deluxe version with its extensive functions. Photo artwork can be converted to cross-stitch designs, and you can even create your own designs by copying the design or colour photo with a few clicks of your mouse, then editing and stitching it.
Designs can also be duplicated and mirrored. The “colour film” function and graphic representation on-screen make editing designs a breeze: just a few mouse clicks let you mark, rearrange, recolour and reshape, or delete individual objects. In addition, the PhotoSnap function allows you to digitise photo artwork and convert it into embroidery designs. Even complex appliqué shapes, fabric patterns and borders can be digitised quite easily, and the freehand-drawing of appliqués is also possible.
The new BERNINA Embroidery Software also offers a multiplicity of options for embroidering monograms and lettering in 16 different fonts – with additional decorative elements and borders. Overlapping stitch areas and double layers can be removed automatically, creating a uniform embroidery picture. The stamp function lets you embroider designs exactly where you want to. If the design is larger than the embroidery hoop, the "Multi-Hooping" function automatically splits it into two or more hoops for further editing. In addition, a powerful but easy-to-use patchwork program lets even quilting newbies combine embroidery techniques with quilt designs and work out details even at the draft stage.
The BERNINA Embroidery Software is compatible with all versions of Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The EditorLite Embroidery Software comes as standard with all embroidery modules; EditorPlus and DesignerPlus are available separately.
