| | Cutting out small pieces:
(as an example hands and feet on the mouse rucksack)
Small pieces, which are sewn together anyway, can be sewn first, and then cut out. This saves time marking out, pinning and even puckering during sewing. |

| | Firm materials:
(as an example hands and feet on the mouse rucksack)
Stitching together, with right sides facing, and turning firm materials is a somewhat tricky task. Normally rucksack fabrics and the like do not fringe much. Simply sew the sections together with wrong sides facing. After cutting out stitch along the edge using a rough zigzag stitch. The clear embroidery foot means you can see what you are doing. |

| | Striped fabrics and very different materials: Particularly for Jersey stripes and also when stitching together fleece and tactel, two contradictory materials, only the walking foot is of use. Left in the image with the walking foot, right without. Left only one single pin was needed on a 20 cm section, for the variant without walking foot, 5 pins come into play to keep the sections precisely on top of one another!! |

| | Stitching handles:
Stitching handles with right sides facing, then turning them and getting the seam in the right position is tiresome. Instead iron under the seam allowances on both sides or guide the fabric, without ironing, with the folded-under allowances along the guiding plate of the edgestitch foot. Select needle position slightly to the left and needle stop down! Topstitch second side. For difficult materials start at the same end. |
