Now you have the V8 software and four new Corel logos on your desktop.

  1. Click on the ‘CorelDRAW SE’ icon to create your mandatory Corel account.
  2. Start V8 software as Administrator and connect it with the new Corel.

When starting CorelDRAW the first time, a pop-up to register appears.
 
You must register and confirm e-mail address to access CorelDRAW or Artwork Canvas. Else you will get a message that the software will not start until Corel is registered.

To finish the Corel registration you have to validate your Corel account.
 
Click on the link ’Validate Account’ that is sent to you by email. Corel registration is now complete.

The first time you open software, right-click on ‘BERNINA Embroidery Software 8’ icon. Select ‘Run as Administrator’ to allow all program changes.

Click 'Yes' to run this application on your computer.

Then a message appears where it asks you to link CorelDRAW to Artwork Canvas. Click ‘Install link to CorelDRAW’. If this is not selected, the new Corel will not work with the software.
 
Congratulations your installation is now complete.
 
Note: Loading Artwork Canvas the first time may take a while.

If not already done, put the BERNINA folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\BERNINA) in the exception or exclusion list of your antivirus software. The support pages explain how this works, for example AVG https://support.avg.com/. For Norton, BERNINA folder must be put in both Scan and Sonar exclusion list. Refer to https://support.symantec.com/
