The award for Overall Winner of the 3 Exhibitions and a prize of $3000 went to Jane Sidall for her work ‘For a Cloak of Feathers.'

The award for Overall Winner of the Young Persons Category went to Rebekah Anderson for her work ‘Stitching Around the World'.

Here is how Rebekah described her winning entry…

‘Stitching Around the World' represented an imaginary journey around the world creating a small square of work representing the stitching history, fabrics and methods in each place; all sewn up into a memento suitcase to enjoy looking at, at home.  I did not really get to do the travel around the world, but did learn about each place as I researched which materials to use and which embroidery technique would best represent each place.

Rebekah won a Bernina 380 Sewing Machine valued at $2,399.
