The aurora 440 QE is the first sewing machine in the world to be equipped with BSR (BERNINA Stitch Regulator) – the exclusive BERNINA innovation for free-motion stitching with consistent stitch lengths even at variable sewing speeds. The BSR makes free-motion quilting easier for novices and pros alike.

BSR – BERNINA Stitch Regulator

The BERNINA Stitch Regulator is a world-first. The BSR with three different soles ensures free-motion stitching with a consistent stitch length, even at variable sewing speeds – making free-motion quilting wonderfully easy.

Speed control

With the help of the easily accessible speed control, the sewing speed of the aurora can be adapted to the project at hand – slow for precision work, faster for general sewing work. This function can also be used for bobbin winding.

Start/stop button

The aurora’s start/stop button is especially practical, rendering the use of a foot control unnecessary and making quick sewing positively relaxing.

Embroidery module with BERNINA ArtDesign Software (optional)

Included with the embroidery module, this BERNINA software lets you alter many embroidery designs before stitching them out, by enlarging or mirroring them, adding letters, changing colors, and combining designs.
