BERNINA DEALER TO HOST CLASSES BY BERNINA EDUCATOR JEANNE DELPIT ON JULY 31 IN ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that G Street Fabrics, a BERNINA Dealer in Rockville, Maryland, is hosting a day of classes with BERNINA educator and trainer Jeanne Delpit on Wednesday, July 31. The classes are $25 and will be held at the Dealer, 5520 Randolph Rd. Sewing machines and kits will be provided by G Street Fabrics. Ms. Delpit will teach two different classes:

• "Made to Create: Creative Organization," from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Participants will turn a simple sewing organizer fabulous with a dash of appliqué, crystals and customization with BERNINA embroidery accessories and DesignWorks Software.


• "Made to Create: Ingredients for Creativity," from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Attendees will use a variety of techniques and BERNINA accessories to create a stylish pillow.

BERNINA's DesignWorks Software Suite offers three modules, CutWork, PaintWork and CrystalWork components, turning your embroidery machine into a mixed media tool. Each module may be used independently or in combination with the others. With CutWork, shapes, patterns and designs are cut from multiple layers of fabric. PaintWork allows the application of pen drawings to fabric and textiles. Crystal appliqué patterns are created for textiles and garments using CrystalWork.

Jeanne Delpit is BERNINA's Director of National Events. She coordinates trade shows and BERNINA University, teaches Dealer trainings, and presents BERNINA products at consumer events and webinars. Ms. Delpit is also an Expert on BERNINA's WeAllSew blog.
