Guest presenters Frieda Anderson, Deb Cacciamani and Suzanne Meyers Otto will offer attendees a chance to quilt with BERNINA 770 Quilter’s Edition (B 770 QE) machines for a variety of projects. Additionally, BERNINA Dealer, M&R Sewing and Vacuum will showcase the new BERNINA Q 20 Longarm Quilting machine and B 770 QE at booth #938.
The schedule of classes include:

  • “Quilting Modern,” presented by Deb Cacciamani on September 10, 11, 12 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The cost is $60 per day. Deb will show easy machine quilting techniques and the basics of using home sewing machines for quilting.
  • “Fun Fast Free-Motion Quilting,” presented by Frieda Anderson on September 10 and 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost is $60 per day. Frieda will demonstrate techniques to help beginners make their own designs without any marking, including what needles to use and how to make complex free-motion patterns.
  • “Beginning Seminole Patchwork,” presented by Suzanne Myers Otto on September 12 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The cost is $39. Suzanne will teach three basic Seminole piecing patterns.

The B 770 QE is part of BERNINA’s next generation 7 Series machines, which also include the BERNINA 790 and BERNINA 740. Frieda Anderson is a national speaker who has taught at numerous venues. She enjoys the creativity involved in designing a new quilt and loves to piece and fuse. The majority of Frieda’s work is machine quilted and nature inspired.
Deb Cacciamani is from the Pacific Northwest. Her work has been featured on BERNINA‘s WeAllSew blog and the BERNINA Web magazine Through the Needle Online. She travels the West Coast presenting events and selling BERNINA machines, software, and accessories.
Suzanne Meyers Otto enjoys creating clothing that showcases quilting techniques. She has won many awards and honors for her wearable art, and was published in Altered Couture in 2007 and in Studios in 2012.
