BERNINA DEALER TO HOST CLASSES BY BERNINA EDUCATOR DEBBI LASHBROOK ON MAY 1 – 2 IN BOSSIER CITY, LOUISIANA

The classes will be held Wednesday, May 1 and Thursday, May 2 at the Dealer, 1701 Old Minden Road, Suite 11. Registration is available at the Fabric Boutique or by calling (318)742-0047.

Ms. Lashbrook will teach three different classes:

• “Made to Create: Ingredients for Creativity,” on Wednesday, May 1, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Attendees will use a variety of techniques and BERNINA accessories to create a stylish pillow. Attendees are required to bring a sewing machine. Accessories and presser feet will be provided. This class is $49.95.
• “Made to Create: Creative Organization,” on Thursday, May 2, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Participants will turn a simple sewing organizer fabulous with a dash of appliqué, crystals and customization with BERNINA embroidery accessories and DesignWorks Software. Sewing machines and kits will be provided by the Dealer. There is no charge for this class.

• “Made to Create: Journey through Creativity,” on Thursday, May 2, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Participants will explore innovative BERNINA machine features, accessories and notions during a lecture and demo class. There will be door prizes and refreshments will be offered. This class is $25.

BERNINA’s DesignWorks Software Suite offers three modules, CutWork, PaintWork and CrystalWork components, turning your embroidery machine into a mixed media tool. Each module may be used independently or in combination with the others. With CutWork, shapes, patterns and designs are cut from multiple layers of fabric. PaintWork allows the application of pen drawings to fabric and textiles. Crystal appliqué patterns are created for textiles and garments using CrystalWork.
