BERNINA DEALER TO HOST CLASSES BY BERNINA EDUCATOR DEBBIE LASHBROOK ON APRIL 18 – 19 IN JUPITER, FLORIDA

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Quilters’ Choice, a BERNINA Dealer in Jupiter, Fla., is hosting two days of classes with BERNINA educator and trainer Debbi Lashbrook.  The classes are $25 each and will be held Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19 at Quilters’ Choice, 661 Maplewood Drive, #14.  Sewing machines and kits will be provided by the Dealer.  Registration is available at Quilters’ Choice or by calling (561)747-0525.

Ms. Lashbrook will teach three different classes:

• “Made to Create:  Creative Organization,” on Thursday, April 18, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  A hands-on class, participants will turn a simple sewing organizer fabulous with a dash of appliqué, crystals and customization with BERNINA embroidery accessories and DesignWorks Software. 
• “Made to Create:  Ingredients for Creativity,” on Thursday, April 18, from 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Attendees will use a variety of techniques and BERNINA accessories to create a stylish pillow in a hands-on sewing class.
• “Made to Create:  Journey through Creativity,” on Friday, April 19, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  Participants will explore innovative BERNINA machine features, accessories and notions during a lecture and demo class.

BERNINA’s DesignWorks Software Suite offers three modules, CutWork, PaintWork and CrystalWork components, turning your embroidery machine into a mixed media tool.  Each module may be used independently or in combination with the others.  With CutWork, shapes, patterns and designs are cut from multiple layers of fabric.  PaintWork allows the application of pen drawings to fabric and textiles.  Crystal appliqué patterns are created for textiles and garments using CrystalWork.
