BERNINA DEALER SEEKS VOLUNTEERS AND DONATIONS TO SUPPORT TWO LOCAL CHARITY EVENTS IN MARCH

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Sew & Quilt Shop, a BERNINA Dealer in Bunnell, Fla., is looking for volunteers and donations to support two local charity events in March. 

Sew & Quilt Shop will bring BERNINA sewing machines and sergers to Rymfire Elementary School, 1425 Rymfire Drive, in Palm Coast, Fla., on Thursday, March 7, from 5 to 8 p.m., to sew 250 pillowcases to benefit Foster Friends, a non-profit organization that assists children in foster homes.  The pillowcases will be donated to children ages 2 to 18 who are being relocated to foster care.  Prior to the event, Sew & Quilt Shop is accepting donations of fabric for the pillowcases at its store, 4601 E. Moody Blvd.  The Dealer is also seeking volunteers to cut the pillowcase fabric to dimensions.  Anyone interested is asked to please visit the store during business hours, Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays.

On Saturday, March 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sew & Quilt Shop will participate in a walkathon at the Palm Coast Towne Center to raise money for the Precious Hearts Foundation, which serves as an aid for men, women and children who are victims of domestic abuse.  Anyone interested in supporting the walkathon is asked to make a cash donation at the Dealer or attend the event.  Attendees are invited to walk with Sew & Quilt Shop representatives or cheer from the sidelines.
