BERNINA DEALER BARON’S SEWING CENTER TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA ON THURSDAY APRIL 24

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Baron’s Sewing Center, a BERNINA Dealer in Woodland Hills, Calif., is hosting Sewapalooza, a sewing festival where enthusiasts will gather to sew, embroider, quilt, and learn new techniques. Sewapalooza, lead by BERNINA Educator, Nancy Bednar, will take place on Thursday, April 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Nancy will lead attendees through 2 projects using the complete BERNINA DesignWorks software suite including PaintWork, CrystalWork and CutWork and provide a project to-go. In addition, Nancy will showcase the Circular Embroidery Attachment, BERNINA Stitch Regulator, and an array of feet – Patchwork Foot, Leather Roller Foot, Edgestitch Foot, Open Toe Embroidery Foot, Clear Embroidery Foot, and the Button Sew on Foot. The event costs $50 and includes lunch and supplies for 3 projects. BERNINA Educator, Nancy Bednar will teach attendees embroidery, overlocker/serger and machine quilting tips and techniques. Nancy is from Brookfield, Ill., and is a sewing educator, freelance instructor and author, who uncovered her passion for sewing when she explored creative and practical aspects of sewing in elementary school. From garment, home decoration projects to bridal and special occasion sewing, Nancy’s true love is the overlocker/serger. Nancy has trained BERNINA Dealers and consumers about all aspects of sewing with a special emphasis on garment stitching and creative machine techniques. She is a regular contributor to Sewing and Serger Update Newsletters and has been published in Sew News and Through the Needle.
