DAVE’S BERNINA TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA AND A BERNINA TRUNK SHOW IN PROVO UTAH JUNE 6 – 7

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Dave’s BERNINA, a BERNINA Dealer with locations in Provo and St. George, Utah, is hosting a Sewapalooza embroidery and quilting workshop Friday, June 6, and a trunk show celebrating BERNINA’s tradition of excellence Saturday, June 7.  Both events will take place at the Covey Center for the Arts, located at 425 W. Center St. in Provo.
 
On June 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., BERNINA Educator Sandra Larson Swick will guide Sewapalooza participants through three different projects using embroidery, BERNINA software and machine quilting techniques.  The cost is $50 and includes the use of the new BERNINA 880 (B 880) and other BERNINA machines, project supplies, and lunch.  On June 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Deb Cacciamani will host a fun and exciting trunk show that focuses on BERNINA’s Swiss heritage and past traditions, as well as current and new BERNINA products.  Attendees will also learn sewing and embroidery tips.  The cost is $20.

Sandra Larson Swick has been selling, sewing and teaching on BERNINA machines professionally for more than 20 years.  She is an award-winning quilter who has had a quilt taken to the International Space Station.  Sandra is also a master teacher in embroidery, garment construction, quilting, specialty projects and crafts.  She provides inspired projects and classes for the youngest to most experienced students.  Additionally, Sandra is a certified BERNINA technician with extensive knowledge of embroidery software and design, and provides professional and individualized sales consultations to help customers select the perfect BERNINA machine for their individual sewing needs.
 
Deb Cacciamani is a BERNINA Resource Teacher in the Pacific Northwest.  Her work has been featured on the WeAllSew blog and the BERNINA Web magazine Through the Needle Online.
 
The B 880 is BERNINA’s new top-of-the line model and its fastest sewing and embroidery model to-date.  It boasts plenty of space, with a full 12 inches to the right of the needle for jumbo embroidery projects, up to 1,200 stitches per minute, and a maximum embroidery speed of 1,000 stitches per minute.  The B 880 also comes equipped with 12 alphabets and 400 built-in embroidery designs, which can be duplicated and arranged into any desired formation using the new Shaping feature.  In addition, embroidery colors can be manipulated with the new Color Wheel, allowing users to easily coordinate color schemes before embroidering begins.
