BERNINA DEALER EDDIE’S QUILTING BEE TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA FEATURING SHELLY NASH FITZGERALD SEPTEMBER 13 IN SUNNYVALE CALIFORNIA

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Eddie’s Quilting Bee, a BERNINA Dealer in Sunnyvale, Calif., is hosting a Sewapalooza event with BERNINA Educator Shelly Nash Fitzgerald on Saturday, September 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Shelly will instruct attendees in creating projects with quilting, embroidery and BERNINA’s DesignWorks Software Suite. The event costs $99 and includes use of BERNINA machines and accessories, project supplies, a BERNINA maintenance pack, and lunch. The event will take place at the Dealer, located at 480 S. BERNINA’s DesignWorks is comprised of three components—CutWork, PaintWork, and CrystalWork—that turn any embroidery machine into a multimedia tool. With CutWork, shapes, patterns and designs can be cut from multiple layers of fabric. PaintWork allows the application of pen drawings to fabric and textiles. CrystalWork gives the ability to create crystal appliqué patterns for textiles and garments.
 
BERNINA educator Shelly Nash Fitzgerald is experienced with teaching mastery for all BERNINA sewing and embroidery machines, sergers, and software, including DesignWorks, Quilter’s Creative Touch and BERNINA Embroidery Software 7. She also teaches free motion quilting, writes patterns, and has private sewing and quilting classes for clients of all ages. Shelly’s mom started her sewing as a small child and by junior high Shelly was making most of her own clothes. Currently her focus has shifted to machine embroidery, quilting, home decorating, bags, and crafts, with only an occasional garment.
