BERNINA ANNOUNCES A GRAND RE-OPENING EVENT FOR LOLA PINK FABRICS IN LAFAYETTE LOUISIANA ON FRIDAY, MAY 9

BERNINA of America, the world’s premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Lola Pink Fabrics, a BERNINA Dealer in Lafayette, La., is hosting a grand re-opening on Friday, May 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with door prizes, refreshments and sales.  BERNINA of America President Paul Ashworth will attend, and the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m.  In addition, Lola Pink Fabrics will demonstrate the new top-of-the-line BERNINA 880 (B 880) and BERNINA 780 (B 780) machines.  All events will take place at the Dealer’s new location, 123 Arnould Blvd.
 
Lola Pink Fabrics started as a Web-based business before opening a storefront in 2011.  A year later, the store became an authorized BERNINA Dealer.  Its new location, at 3,563 square feet, is twice the space of its former storefront, which was located next door. 
 
The B 880 is BERNINA’s new top-of-the line machine and its fastest sewing and embroidery model to-date.  It boasts plenty of space, with a full 12 inches to the right of the needle for jumbo embroidery projects, up to 1,200 stitches per minute, and a maximum embroidery speed of 1,000 stitches per minute.  The B 880 also comes equipped with 12 alphabets and 400 built-in embroidery designs, which can be duplicated and arranged into any desired formation with the new Shaping feature.  In addition, embroidery colors can be manipulated with the new Color Wheel, allowing users to easily coordinate color schemes before embroidering begins. 
 
The B 780 features the world’s first, patent-pending BERNINA 9 Hook (B 9 Hook), which uniquely combines the advantages of the two best hook technologies, the rotary and CB hook.  This hook system enables higher sewing and embroidery speeds, up to 9 mm stitch width and 80 percent more bobbin capacity than our standard bobbins.
