BERNINA DEALER LINDA Z’S TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA FEATURING KATHY SHALDA SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6 IN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ILLINOIS

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Linda Z’s, a BERNINA Dealer and BERNINA Excellence Partner in Arlington Heights, Ill., is hosting Sewapalooza, a hands-on embroidery, and quilting workshop on Saturday, September 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. BERNINA Educator Kathy Shalda will instruct attendees in creating two exciting quilting and embroidery projects. The event costs $49, plus a $10 fee for a project kit, and includes use of BERNINA machines and accessories. The workshop will take place at the Dealer, located at 1216 E. Central Road. For as long as she can remember, Kathy Shalda has enjoyed sewing. Her grandmother gave her a used sewing machine as a gift for her high school graduation. Kathy continued her love of sewing after marrying two years later, and when her husband saw her struggling with her machine, he surprised her with a BERNINA 830 for her birthday. She’s been a loyal BERNINA owner ever since. Kathy has done all types of sewing, from making clothes for her three sons to pillows and window treatments for her homes. Her real passion is quilting, and she's been an avid quilter for 15 years. Not long after becoming a quilter, Kathy also discovered machine embroidery and has kept her BERNINA humming ever since.
