BERNINA DEALER LOLA PINK FABRICS TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA EVENT WITH KELLIE RUSHING SATURDAY OCTOBER 11 IN LAFAYETTE LOUISIANA

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Lola Pink Fabrics, a BERNINA Dealer in Lafayette, La., is hosting a Sewapalooza event with Kellie Rushing on Saturday, October 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Kellie will guide participants as they complete three projects that focus on quilting, embroidery, and BERNINA’s DesignWorks Software Suite. The event will take place at the Dealer, located at 123 Arnould Blvd. The cost is $69 and includes all supplies, use of BERNINA machines and accessories, a Sewapalooza festival package, and lunch. BERNINA’s DesignWorks Software Suite is comprised of three components including CutWork, PaintWork, and CrystalWork that turn any embroidery machine into a multimedia tool. With CutWork, shapes, patterns and designs can be cut from multiple layers of fabric. PaintWork allows the application of pen drawings to fabric and textiles. CrystalWork gives the ability to create crystal appliqué patterns for textiles and garments.
 
BERNINA Educator Kellie Rushing began sewing at age 5 when her grandmother taught her how to hand-embroider. After marrying and becoming a stay-at-home mom, Kellie used her skill to start a home-based business making custom draperies.
