BERNINA DEALER THE QUILTING BEE TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA ON SATURDAY APRIL 26 IN SPOKANE WASHINGTON

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that The Quilting Bee, a BERNINA Dealer in Spokane, Wash., is hosting Sewapalooza, a sewing festival where enthusiasts will gather to sew, and learn new techniques. Sewapalooza, lead by BERNINA Educator, Christine Gist, will take place on Saturday, April 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Chrisine will lead attendees through 3 projects and showcase the BERNINA DesignWorks software suite including PaintWork, CrystalWork and CutWork. Attendees will have the opportunity to make a cord caddy, a backpack and an embellished shoe sack and enjoy an array of event prizes and special drawings. BERNINA Educator, Christine Gist, from Tucson, Ariz., is an experimental mixed media sewist who discovered the BERNINA brand and was able to bring her imaginative ideas to life. She challenges herself to try and master news and unusual techniques and recently used her BERNINA sewing machine and tools to etch metal, which can be seen in the BERNINA 2014 Look Book. Her creative philosopy stems from her work as a jeweler and travels to the country’s largest Gem Shows.
