BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Sew Generously, an exclusive BERNINA Dealer in St. Charles, Illinois, is hosting a Fall event featuring Master Art Quilter, Frieda Anderson on Saturday, October 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will be held at the store located at 3341 West Main St. in St. Charles. Master Art Quilter Frieda Anderson will inspire attendees by sharing her quilting design ideas and how walks with her Jack Russell Terrier, George, have impacted her quilt designs. She will also showcase a number of her published and award-winning quilts and show attendees how to make a colorful pumpkin mini quilt using her fusing techniques. Frieda will provide attendees with hand-dyed fabrics and a quilt pattern. The event costs $60.00 and includes supplies, lunch, and the opportunity to experience BERNINA machines. A resident of Elgin, Illinois, Frieda Anderson is a national speaker who has taught at numerous venues including the Quilt Show in Madison Wis. She made her first quilt in high school and continued to explore her passion for quilting on into her college years. In college, Frieda realized that she wanted to design and make original art quits. She enjoys the creativity involved in designing a new quilt and loves to piece and fuse. The majority of her work is machine quilted and nature inspired.
