BERNINA DEALER SEW IN HEAVEN TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 26 AND SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 27 IN HOLIDAY ISLAND ARKANSAS

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Sew in Heaven, a BERNINA Dealer in Holiday Island, Arkansas, is hosting Sewapalooza, a hands-on sewing, embroidery, and quilting workshop on Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 3 Parkcliff Drive in Holiday Island. BERNINA Educator Lyn Lackey will lead event-goers through a number of projects including an embellished wristlet; a monogrammed suit case sachet using BERNINA’s Embroidery Software 7; an embellished shoe sack using BERNINA’s DesignWorks software; and a travel cord caddy. In addition, event-goers will make a quilted mini travel pillow and an upcycled project that turns a t-shirt into a backpack using the overlocker/serger set. The event costs $75 for both days and includes lunch, projects kits, a goodie bag, and use of BERNINA machines. The Dealer will also offer discounts on machines, accessories, and software including a zero percent for 48 months special financing option. BERNINA Educator Lyn Lackey is from Cary, N.C., and has been sewing and teaching most of her life. She started as a Home Economics teacher and later taught at a BERNINA Dealer. In 1986 she fell in love with BERNINA after purchasing a BERNINA 930. Shortly after, she became a BERNINA Educator. Lyn was also a District Manager for BERNINA of America from 1999 to 2013. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for creativity and BERNINA products with new and experienced students. Modern Quilting is her latest passion, but Lyn enjoys every segment of sewing and teaching.
