BERNINA Embroidery Software 7 and BERNINA DesignWorks Software Demonstrations, Lectures and Tips – Register by phone

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Sewing Arts Center, a BERNINA Dealer in Santa Monica, Calif., is hosting The Inner Working Revealed, a special software demonstration event that focuses on the inner workings of BERNINA’s Embroidery Software 7 and DesignWorks software suite. The event will take place on Saturday, October 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the store located at 3330 Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica, Calif. BERNINA educator and trainer Debbi Lashbrook will demonstrate the full range of features for BERNINA Embroidery Software 7 and DesignWorks features and assist attendees in better understanding the capabilities of the software. The cost is $89.00 and includes lunch. No supplies are needed and free parking is available behind the store. Registrations are now being accepted by calling (310)450-4300.

BERNINA Embroidery Software 7 places a host of powerful design tools at the fingertips of sewists, including 3-D effects like StumpWork, Trapunto and PunchWork, as well as advanced monogramming and lettering, autodigitizing and full manual digitizing functionality to complement the hundreds of built-in and ready-to-stitch designs. BERNINA Embroidery Software 7 also includes the most requested enhancements for BERNINA’s embroidery software: easy-to-select colors; an artistic view of pattern fills, borders and stamps; a shortcut to insert a design or artwork; the ability to switch from inches to metrics; and a choice of options for the mouse wheel.

BERNINA’s DesignWorks Software Suite offers three modules, CutWork, PaintWork and CrystalWork components, turning your embroidery machine into a mixed media tool. Each module may be used independently or in combination with the others. With CutWork, shapes, patterns and designs are cut from multiple layers of fabric. PaintWork allows the application of pen drawings to fabric and textiles. Crystal appliqué patterns are created for textiles and garments using CrystalWork.

Debbi Lashbrook is a BERNINA educator and trainer, and one of BERNINA’s Experts on its WeAllSew blog. Her blog posts include “Spirograph Quilt,” “Decorative Stitches à la CutWork,” and “Audition Appliqué Fabrics in Your Embroidery Software.”
