BERNINA INTERNATIONAL OWNER HANSPETER UELTSCHI TO VISIT BERNINA DEALER SAVE STORES IN OREGON CITY OREGON ON WEDNESDAY APRIL 23

A bernette Seville sewing machine will be given away at the event

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Hanspeter Ueltschi, fourth-generation owner of BERNINA International, will visit SAVE Stores in Oregon City, Ore. on Wednesday, April 23 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.  Mr. Ueltschi will meet guests and sign BERNINA machines purchased from the Dealer that day.  SAVE Stores will also hold a free drawing for a bernette Seville signed by Mr. Ueltschi, who will draw the winning name.  The winner must be present to collect the prize.  The event will take place at 1900 McLoughlin Blvd., Suite #80.  To register, call (503)655-4414 or stop by SAVE Stores Oregon City.

Opened in 1960, SAVE Stores is a second-generation family owned and operated authorized BERNINA Dealer.

“We look forward to Mr. Ueltschi’s visit from Steckborn, Switzerland because BERNINA and SAVE Stores are both family owned businesses,” said Robbie Tousignant, the Dealer store owner.  “Family owned businesses continue to be strong and grow, and we feel fortunate that we can share our accomplishments with Mr. Ueltschi and with our customers.”

In addition to welcoming Mr. Ueltschi, SAVE Stores Inc. will showcase the new top-of-the-line BERNINA 880 (B 880), the BERNINA 780 (B 780), and the DesignWorks Software Suite on April 23.

The B 880 boasts plenty of space, with a full 12 inches to the right of the needle for sewing and jumbo embroidery, and has a fast sewing speed of 1,200 stitches per minute.  Sewists can create unique embroidery arrangements with the new Shaping feature and modify the colors of their embroideries with the new Color Wheel.  They may also choose among 1,764 built-in stitches, creatively distort stitches, or create their own patterns with the innovative new Stitch Designer.

The B 780 includes an extended freearm area with 10 inches of space to the right of the needle and a practical extension table with ample space to hold larger sewing projects.  It also features the world’s first, patent-pending BERNINA 9 Hook (B 9 Hook), which enables higher sewing and embroidery speeds, a wider stitch width and extra thread capacity in the bobbin.

DesignWorks features CutWork, PaintWork and CrystalWork, which can transform the B 780 from an embroidery machine into a mixed media tool.  With CutWork, shapes, patterns and designs can be cut from multiple layers of fabric; PaintWork allows pen drawings to be applied to fabric and textiles; and CrystalWork offers the option of creating crystal appliqué patterns for textiles and garments.
SAVE Stores has locations at 1900 McLoughlin Blvd., Suite #80 in Oregon City and at 6701 SE Foster Road in Portland, Ore.  The Dealer sells BERNINA sewing machines and software, and provides a variety of sewing, embroidery and quilting classes for people of all skill levels.  SAVE Stores also offers free loaner sewing machines to its customers during repairs and a free 20-year extended warranty covering parts and labor on all machines.  For more information about the Dealer, please visit www.savestores.com.
