BERNINA’s Q 20 and BERNINA 790 on display

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that California Sewing & Vacuum, a BERNINA Dealer with three locations in California (San Francisco, San Jose, San Rafael) and two locations in Hawaii (Pearl City and Honolulu), will exhibit at the Pacific International Quilt Festival (PIQF). PIQF, the largest quilt show on the west coast, will take place on October 15 – 18 at the Santa Clara Convention Center located at 5001 Great America Parkway in Santa Clara. BERNINA Educator Debbie Lashbrook will demonstrate the functions and features of the BERNINA Q 20 Longarm and teach classes using the BERNINA 790 (B 790). Demonstrations will take place at the BERNINA booth located inside the front doors of the Convention Center. Additionally, California Sewing & Vacuum will give away two machines daily, through a drawing. To sign up for the daily drawings, visit the BERNINA booth.
The Q 20 offers 20 inches of throat space to finish large quilts comfortably. Among its features are an exclusive tension control system, a built-in needle threader, a sewing speed up to 2,200 stitches per minute, two BERNINA Longarm Stitch Regulators with dual optical sensors, and a one-of-a-kind electronically controlled tension system with numeric settings. The Q 20 Longarm is also equipped with an intuitive color touchscreen interface that is simple to navigate, customizable, and includes useful functions like a stitch counter and a built-in tutorial. Other features include a built-in needle threader, an M Class Rotary Hook, and an integrated bobbin winder.
The B 790 is a sewing and embroidery combo machine with a 7-inch high-resolution color touch screen and programmable foot control, and comes standard with the BERNINA Stitch Regulator (BSR), which ensures stitches of the exact same length when free-motion sewing. The B 790 is also equipped with the one-of-a-kind Stitch Designer, which allows users to draw their own stitches on the touch screen and in one click, convert them into a stitch pattern. Additionally, it features 554 stitches, including newly designed sideways motion stitches, 270 embroidery designs, and eight embroidery alphabets. The B 790 also comes with the embroidery module that accommodates the Maxi Hoop for a large embroidery area.
