The BERNINA E 16 features an extra-large embroidery field of 440 mm x 350 mm with the BERNINA hook system, an ultraprecise laser alignment for accurate design placement, and an intuitive BERNINA Operating System that is icon-driven and easy to use. The E 16 has one of the largest sewing fields in the industry, 16.8” x 16.9” allowing you to stitch large designs without re-hooping or rotating the hoop to complete your embroidery project. Additionally, the E 16 reads ART-formatted files and comes equipped with an intuitive user interface, the auto thread trim, and the Acti-feed Tension System. It has an adjustable height presser foot, appliqué command, and a quality design library of 1,000 ready-to-stitch designs. The E 16 is compatible with the new BERNINA Embroidery Software 7 and BERNINA’s Exclusive Embroidery Design Collections. The BERNINA E 16 will personalize team uniforms and caps, monogram stylish totes, commemorate a special occasion, or complete an elaborate embroidered quilt. Whether it is a jacket back or a small pocket area that needs embroidering, the E 16 will complete the task like a pro.
BERNINA Embroidery Software 7 places a host of powerful design tools at the fingertips of sewists, including 3-D effects like StumpWork, Trapunto and PunchWork, as well as advanced monogramming and lettering, autodigitizing and full manual digitizing functionality to complement the hundreds of built-in and ready-to-stitch designs. Software 7 also sports an easy-to-use interface that features larger icons and icon grouping, and easy-to-change outline stitches and fill stitches.
Elva Mungai is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Home Economics Education. She has been teaching classes on BERNINA Embroidery Software since the earliest software versions.
