Located along the Hudson River in Nyack, New York, The Quilt Tree opened its doors in September 2015, with a goal to provide the quilting community with a warm and welcoming environment where quilters of all styles and skill abilities could receive the encouragement, inspiration, and ongoing support they need to improve their skills, learn new techniques, and complete their favorite projects. Owners, Lisa and Stacey, met while working together at another quilt shop. With over 45 years of combined quilting experience, they also shared a common dream, to open a quilt shop of their own. They chose the name The Quilt Tree because although their knowledge and skills are rooted in traditional quilting, they have branched out to learn many new forms of modern and art quilting. The Quilt Tree is an authorized BERNINA Dealer that provides top-quality support, education and service to area residents. The Dealer sells BERNINA sewing machines, software and accessories, and also provides a variety of sewing, embroidery and quilting classes for people of all skill levels.
