Explore the inspiration behind Susanne Pickup's quilt, “Mackintosh – A Celebration of 150 Years”. As a huge fan of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and a member of the Mackintosh society in Glasgow, Susanne celebrates the 150th anniversary of his birth with her quilt. She experiments with many different quilting techniques such as reverse appliqué, couching and trapunto as well as computer printing. We love that the colours used in this piece reflect the colour schemes in Mackintosh’s own designs…we hope you enjoy Susanne’s tale.
