Hope for Japan

In March of 2011, a 9.0 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami devastated a large portion of northern Japan. Shaken by this disaster and by the human suffering in the affected region, Kazu Huggler, together with BERNINA, established an aid project and furnished a tsunami-ravaged school with BERNINA sewing machines as a symbol of hope and new prospects.
