A BRIGHT YOUNG TALENT FROM MOZAMBIQUE!

Margarida Pedro, a young mother residing in the war-stricken Northern Province of Cabo Delgado in Mozambique, has been striving for over a year to secure the means to travel 3,000km to Maputo to commence and complete the BERNINA Patternmaking, Cutting, and Sewing Course, facilitated by Rosa Maria Jorge from BERNINA MOZAMBIQUE.

Through the kindness of "Mais Emprego" [English – More Employment], a collaborative project by the European Union and Portugal, she was provided with a ticket to Maputo and accommodations to embark on the BERNINA Course, where she received a bernette SEW & GO 3 sewing machine.

Rosa Maria – owner of BERNINA MOZAMBIQUE, coordinated the procurement of necessary fabrics and materials.

With the support of the BERNINA MOZAMBIQUE teacher Alfiado, Margarida successfully completed 34 lessons - from basics to advanced, in just 8 days, overcoming time constraints and costs.

Margarida's newfound skills, talent, and quality machines will undoubtedly shape her professional future. Congratulations, MARGARIDA, on your achievements; may success and prosperity accompany you in your endeavors!

BERNINA MOZAMBIQUE takes immense pride in her exceptional dedication and commitment to quality, evident in the impeccably crafted garments she produced. She is undeniably a true talent.

Furthermore, Mais Emprego acquired a bernette B70 – dedicated embroidery machine, enabling Margarida and other disadvantaged youth in her community to establish their own monthly income to support themselves and their families.

Our heartfelt compliments and gratitude extend to Rosa Maria & Carlos for their invaluable contributions amidst challenging circumstances in Mozambique, positively impacting the lives of numerous individuals. You are truly assets to the BERNINA Family.
