Nine remarkable women from KwaZulu Natal were part of the second intake for a two-week sewing program hosted at BERNINA RSA. Thanks to the generous support from the Gift of the Givers, each of them was gifted a bernette Sew & Go 1 sewing machine to aid them on their journey These two weeks were more than just a sewing course; they were a voyage of self-discovery and empowerment. As the days passed, these industrious women sewed not only fabric but also strong bonds of friendship and shared experiences. After two weeks of hard work, these ladies proudly received certificates, signifying their successful completion of basic sewing training and granting them permission to take their sewing machines home. Their hearts were filled with gratitude, and they eagerly anticipate the opportunity to further refine their newfound skills and return for advanced training. This partnership between the Gift of the Givers and BERNINA has given them hope for a brighter future.
