Explore the inspiration behind Sandra Newton's quilt, "Will They Stitch?". This quilt was inspired by an article “20 Key Skills for Millennials” that listed one as how to sew on a button. This led Sandra to reflect on her own stitching journey and the skills she learnt such as patching sheets. These mending techniques are incorporated throughout her quilt which is fully recycled being made from old sheets and pillowcases. She explores breakdown printing to create a distressed look and tells us how beneficial sewing is to find mindfulness…we hope you enjoy Sandra’s tale.
