BERNINA TO HOST A SOFTWARE EXTRAVAGANZA RETREAT

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that it is accepting registration for its Software Extravaganza Retreat. The retreat will take place September 16 - 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the BERNINA Creative Center located at 3682 Unit B Prairie Lake Court, next to the BERNINA of America headquarters in Aurora, Ill. Instruction on BERNINA Embroidery Software 7 will occur September 16 – 18 and the fee is $299, which includes materials and lunch each day. On September 19, event-goers can stay and learn more about BERNINA’s DesignWorks Software Suite for an additional event fee of $99. BERNINA Embroidery Software 7:  September 16 – 18, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A team of expert BERNINA educators will guide guests through the how-tos of BERNINA Embroidery Software 7. Event-goers will learn about automatic and manual digitizing tools, explore creative fill functions of the software and work with the 3-D effects.
 
BERNINA DesignWorks Software:  September 19, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The hands-on session is an introduction to the BERNINA DesignWorks Software suite which includes CutWork, PaintWork, and CrystalWork. From cut out shapes and patterns, painting on fabric, to applying crystal appliqués, BERNINA’s DesignWorks software can create customized designs and unique gifts.
 
Event Requirements:
Each attendee will need to bring to class a laptop computer with BERNINA Embroidery Software 7 – DesignerPlus level installed, an Embroidery Software 7 Security Dongle, a laptop power supply and an external mouse and mouse pad. Attendees should also bring a notebook and writing instrument. A BERNINA USB memory stick is suggested. For those attending the BERNINA DesignWorks Session, make sure to install the BERNINA DesignWorks Software Suite and DesignWorks Security Dongle onto your laptop. The 4,500-square-foot BERNINA Creative Center consists of three rooms with enough space to hold up to 50 attendees and BERNINA machines. Events at the Center are designed to help consumers and BERNINA Dealers advance their sewing, quilting and embroidering skills.
