BERNINA TO HOST A TWO-DAY EMBROIDERY ESSENTIALS WORKSHOP AT THE BERNINA CREATIVE CENTER OCTOBER 23 – 24

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that it is accepting registration for its two-day workshop on embroidery, called Embroidery Essentials, at the BERNINA Creative Center in Aurora, Ill. The workshop will take place on Thursday, October 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, October 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each attendee will enjoy a lecture and hands-on demonstrations designed to take them through the basics of embroidery and beyond. The cost is $299, and includes class project supplies, use of BERNINA embroidery machines, and lunch. The BERNINA Creative Center is located at 3682 Unit B Prairie Lake Court, next to the BERNINA of America headquarters.
 
During the workshop, participants will have a chance to strengthen their embroidery skills as they work with a variety of stabilizers, including cut-away, tear-away, wash-away, paper-backed adhesive stabilizer, and an iron-on stabilizer. Attendees will embroider on a towel and a knit, use quilting and appliqué hoops, and create free-standing lace. For more information and to register, please visit:

The 4,500-square-foot BERNINA Creative Center opened in 2013 and consists of three rooms with enough space to hold up to 50 attendees and BERNINA machines. Events at the Center are designed to help consumers and BERNINA Dealers advance their sewing, quilting and embroidering skills.
