BERNINA DEALER QUILTING DELIGHTS LLC TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA FRIDAY AUGUST 22 AND SATURDAY AUGUST 23 IN CLACKAMAS OREGON

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Quilting Delights LLC, a BERNINA Dealer in Clackamas, Oregon, is hosting Sewapalooza, hands-on sewing, embroidery, and quilting workshops on Friday, August 22 and Saturday, August 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 14863 SE Oregon Trail Drive. BERNINA Educators Sandra Larson Swick and Christine Gist will lead event-goers through three unique projects – a monogrammed suitcase sachet, an embellished shoe sack utilizing BERNINA’s DesignWorks CrystalWork software, and an upcycled t-shirt to backpack as part of the overlocker/serger set. Each attendee will take home one complete project. The event costs $59.00 and includes lunch, project kits, project instructions, and use of BERNINA machines. BERNINA Educator Sandra Larson Swick has been selling, sewing and teaching on BERNINA machines, professionally, for more than 20 years. She is an award-winning quilter, who made the first “Quilt in Space,” a quilt that traveled to the International Space Station with astronaut, Barbara Morgan. As a professional educator and graduate of the University of Oregon, she shares her love of sewing and textiles with students in the Pacific Northwest. She is a master teacher in embroidery, garment construction, quilting, specialty projects and crafts and has extensive knowledge about sergers. Sandra lives in Las Vegas.
 
BERNINA Educator Christine Gist, from Tucson, Ariz., is an experimental, mixed media sewist who brings her imaginative ideas to life by using her BERNINA sewing machine tools. Gist worked and taught at a BERNINA dealer in Florida and now resides in Tucson and works at BERNINA Dealer, The Sewing Room.
