BERNINA INTERNATIONAL OWNER HANSPETER UELTSCHI TO VISIT AAA SEWING AND FABRIC IN LOMITA CALIFORNIA ON MONDAY APRIL 21 FOR AN INVITATION-ONLY EVENT

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Hanspeter Ueltschi, fourth-generation owner of BERNINA International, will visit AAA Sewing and Fabric in Lomita, Calif. on Monday, April 21 for an invitation-only event.  Mr. Ueltschi will meet guests and sign BERNINA machines from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Dealer, located at 2365 Pacific Coast Highway.  AAA Sewing and Fabric will offer refreshments and host a sewing project in which attendees have an opportunity to experience a variety of BERNINA machines and accessories, including the BERNINA Stitch Regulator (BSR) and BERNINA Embroidery Software 7.

The BSR removes the challenge of maintaining a consistent stitch length when a sewing machine’s feed dogs are lowered and fabric is moved in all directions – a technique known as free-motion.  With traditional free-motion sewing techniques, the responsibility of keeping the machine speed, fabric movement and stitch length in harmony is left to the stitcher.  The BSR eliminates this challenge, reducing free-motion mastery to minutes instead of hours, for beginners and more experienced sewists.
