BERNINA DEALER QUILTING FOLKS SEWING GALLERY TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA FRIDAY OCTOBER 31 AND SATURDAY NOVEMBER 1 IN ROCKLEDGE FLORIDA

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that BERNINA Dealer, Quilting Folks Sewing Gallery, is hosting Sewapalooza, hands-on embroidery and quilting workshops on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The workshops will be held at the store located at 3100 Suntree Blvd. in Rockledge, Fla. BERNINA Educator Michelle Kratzer will lead attendees through six projects including a monogrammed suit case sachet and trendy wristlet using BERNINA’s Embroidery Software 7, a quilted mini travel pillow, an embellished shoe sack using BERNINA’s DesignWorks software, a t-shirt to backpack project using the overlocker/serger set, and a travel cord caddy. The event costs $35 for both days and includes all supplies, lunch, door prizes, a CD complete with project instructions, and the opportunity to experience BERNINA machines. Having grown up in the heart of Pennsylvania's Quilting Country, BERNINA Educator Michelle Kratzer has been involved in sewing and crafts most of her life and has grown fond of embroidery. While initially having concentrated on software and heirloom sewing, Michelle has added embroidered quilts, overlocker/serger projects and home décor to her class offerings over the years. She enjoys sharing her knowledge through teaching and strives to inspire students to explore their creativity. Michelle has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and resides with her husband and 3 dogs in Southwest Fla.
