Now you have the V8 software and four new Corel logos on your desktop.
- Click on the ‘CorelDRAW SE’ icon to create your mandatory Corel account.
- Start V8 software as Administrator and connect it with the new Corel.
When starting CorelDRAW the first time, a pop-up to register appears.
Please choose “I already have an account” and type in the credentials from your Corel account from the step before.
Please note also:
A registered Corel account is mandatory to ensure the functionality of CorelDRAW or Artwork Canvas.
To finish the Corel registration you have to validate your Corel account.
Click on the link ’Validate Account’ that is sent to you by email. Corel registration is now complete.
The first time you open software, right-click on ‘BERNINA Embroidery Software 8’ icon. Select ‘Run as Administrator’ to allow all program changes.
Click 'Yes' to run this application on your computer.
The Software will prompt you to activate the V8 Embroidery Software. Please enter your product key and your personal data and close the form with "Ok".
The activation may take up to two minutes and the installation window may appear frozen.
Please keep your product key in a safe place, you will need it to install the software on another device.
Then a message appears where it asks you to link CorelDRAW to Artwork Canvas. Click ‘Install link to CorelDRAW’. If this is not selected, the new Corel will not work with the software.
Congratulations your installation is now complete.
Note: Loading Artwork Canvas the first time may take a while.
If not already done, put the BERNINA folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\BERNINA) in the exception or exclusion list of your antivirus software. The support pages explain how this works, for example AVG https://support.avg.com/. For Norton, BERNINA folder must be put in both Scan and Sonar exclusion list. Refer to https://support.symantec.com/
