Our talented sewing expert Steph shows us how to create simple rope bowls that are perfect to store all your Easter treats! Personalise them how you like with thread colour, fabric and paints - the possibilities are endless! Once all the chocolate has been consumed, they also make for very handy storage bowls to tidy and organise the home... So you can make something festive and practical! Sound ideal? Let’s get sewing!

You will need:

  • Bernina sewing machine
  • Use one of your feet in your stash – whether it’s the #1, Bernina Open Toe Embroidery Foot #20 or any other. As long as you can do zigzags!
  • Cotton cord or clothesline. I’m using a 4mm cotton clothesline
  • Thread – match the colour with the room, use a fun contrasting thread or why not a variegated thread?
  • Scissors
  • Pins
  • Fabric scraps - now that we can't go out, might as well dig into that stash!
  • Paints/inks (optional)
